LONDON (CNI)--Saudi Basic Industries Corp (Sabic) on Thursday announced the appointment of Frans Noteborn as chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Sabic EuroPetrochemicals, the new company responsible for the former DSM petrochemical business.
Noteborn was managing director of Dutch-based DSM Petrochemicals, whose sale to Sabic was completed last week.
Sabic also appointed Boy Litjens, formerly DSM's business director for polypropylenes (PP) moulding and extrusion, as Sabic EuroPetrochemicals' chief operating officer. Jan Hessel Kruit, who was also managing director of DSM Petrochemicals, joins the Sabic EuroPetrochemicals board.
Mohammed Al-Mady, Sabic's vice chairman and managing director, said: "I have full confidence that this continuity of leadership and management will secure the transition and implementation of Sabic’s business goals in Europe as part of our global strategy."
