LONDON (CNI)--Huntsman Tioxide said Tuesday the capacity expansion of its titanium dioxide (TiO2) plant in Greatham, northeast England is now due to be completed at the beginning of October.
A spokeswoman told CNI the project is currently in the commissioning stage, adding that the expansion will bring the plant’s capacity to 100 000 tonne/year from the current 80 000 tonne.
Huntsman Tioxide first announced the project, which involves the installation of another production line utilising Icon chloride technology, in 1999. It had originally scheduled the expansion to be completed last month.
