R&H to market own acrylate-based personal care products

HOUSTON (CNI)--Rohm and Haas (R&H) said Wednesday it is changing its five-year-old strategic marketing alliance with International Specialty Products (ISP) and will sell, market and distribute its own acrylate-based products for the personal care market.

Effective 1 October, R&H said it will take over those functions for its Aculyn, Acudyne and SunSpheres products globally from ISP.

ISP will continue to sell, market and distribute the jointly developed Allianz LT-120 hair spray resin and the new Allianz OPT waterproofing agent on a global basis, R&H said.

International Specialty Products, based in Wayne, New Jersey is a leading multinational manufacturer of specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, mineral products and advanced materials.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based R&H is a global specialty material company with annual sales of approximately $5.7bn (Euro5.82bn).
