Korea's Kumho Petchem to shut PS/EPS/SBR plants in Oct

SINGAPORE (CNI)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical plans to close its polystyrene (PS), expandable PS (EPS) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plants in Ulsan, South Korea, in October for routine turnarounds, a company source told CNI on Tuesday.

The PS and EPS plants are expected to be shut at the end of October while the SBR facility will be shut in the middle of October. All the shutdowns are expected to last for around 15 days.

Kumho produces 175 000 tonne/year of PS, 90 000 tonne/year of EPS and 185 000 tonne/year of SBR in Ulsan.
