SINGAPORE (CNI)--BP Amoco Malaysia has restarted its 600 000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Gebeng, Kuantan, after a 12-day maintenance turnaround, a company spokesman told CNI on Friday.
The plant closed over the weekend of 28-29 September for the scheduled turnaround and restarted on schedule on Friday (11 October).
The spokesman declined to say what operating rate the plant would build back up to and how long that would take.
