LONDON (CNI)--DuPont Titanium Technologies said Monday it plans to raise by 7% the price of all Ti-pure titanium dioxide (TiO2) grades in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The increase, which takes effect from 15 January, is in response to current market conditions and is aimed at insuring DuPont's ability to supply future demand.
DuPont said that if the rise is accepted in full, prices would be at the same level as in late 2000.
Customer resistance meant that DuPont was able to achieve only about two-thirds of its last two price hikes.
