HOUSTON (CNI)--Sterling Pulp Chemicals has changed its name to Erco Worldwide to reflect its focus on engineering, research, commitment and optimisation (Erco), the company said Tuesday.
A division of Canada's Superior Plus, Erco Worldwide is a supplier of chlorine dioxide technology and one of the largest North American and worldwide suppliers of chlorine dioxide precursor chemicals.
Said Erco in a statement: "The name Erco references our 100-year history as a supplier of quality bleaching systems and products to the pulp and paper and water treatment industries."
The unit has five manufacturing facilities in Canada and one at Valdosta, Georgia with headquarters at Toronto, Ontario.
