BTX Falling crude oil prices have impacted benzene pricing. Spot pricing for April is in the range of $1.85 to $1.89 per gallon. May deals have been completed below $1.70 per gallon. Toluene has also felt the impact of falling crude oil prices. Spot toluene deals have been done in the $1.40 to $1.42 per gallon range. Mixed xylenes were quiet recently with buyers and sellers about a nickel apart. Buyers had been asking $1.45 per gallon.

Dicyclopentadiene Texmark Chemicals Inc. will increase prices for all grades of dicyclopentadiene by 1.5c. per pound effective April 1.

DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise has launched a 6c. per pound increase for all grades of methylamine, a 4c. per pound increase for dimethylformamide, and a 5c. increase for dimethylacetamide effective April 1 or as contracts permit. Methylamine products include all grades of monomethylamine, dimethylamine and trimethylamine.

Eastman Chemical Company will increase the off-list price of Eastman acetic acid by 4.5c. per pound in the US, Canada and Latin America effective April 1. The company says this increase is in addition to previous midquarter announcement of 1.5c.

Eastman is also increasing the off-list price of its acetaldehyde by4.5c. per pound/8.8c per kilogram in US and Canada effective April 1.

Eastman has launched a 25c. per gallon list and off-list increase on ethanols in North America effective April 1.

Eastman will also increase list and off-list prices of MIBK and DIBK by 8c. per pound/17.6 per kilogram in US, Canada and Latin America effective April 1.

Paraformaldehyde Formol Y Derivados SA will raise the price of paraformaldehyde by  75 per metric ton in Europe effective April 1. The company says increases in the rest of the world will be in accordance with the euro/dollar exchange rate.

Vulcan Chemicals is increase the price of all grades of methyl chloride, methylene chloride, chloroform, perchloroethylene and trichloroethylene by 4c. per pound in North America. The increase is effective immediately or on April 15 for accounts with 30 day notification terms.

World Ethanol, a joint venture between Archer Daniels Midland Company and Dow Chemical Company, will increase all off-schedule selling prices for its industrial ethanol products by 25c. per gallon effective April 1.
