LONDON (CNI)--German chemicals giant BASF has confirmed that Michael Hepp has taken over from Hartwig Michels as head of performance chemicals for leather.
Hepp, who was head of the performance chemicals South America regional business unit, is now based in BASF's head office in Ludwigshafen. In his new job he is responsible for the global activities of leather chemicals, in particular worldwide strategy and coordination with the Europe, North and South America and Asia regions with regard to production, research and development (R&D), marketing and sales.
A spokeswoman for BASF said Michels has been appointed group vice president for regional business management of Eastern Europe, Africa and West Asia.
