LONDON (CNI)--First quarter output growth from the UK chemicals sector output was almost static, according to data published on Friday by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
It showed a 0.2% increase in chemicals and man-made fibres production compared with the first three months of last year and a 0.4% rise over Q4.
The UK's overall manufacturing output in the first quarter this year was down 0.8% from the same period last year and 0.1% lower than Q4-2002.
