Albemarle Corp. is raising the global prices of Saytex and NcendX P-30 flame retardants, effective June 15 or as contracts allow. Saytex's price will be increased on a selective basis up to 7 percent. The company will contact its customers individually to discuss the specifics of the increase. The price of NcendX P-30, a bis phosphate ester, will be increased by 10 percent.Clariant GmbH has increased the price of both methyl aceto acetate (MAA) and dimethyl sulfate (DMS) as of April 15, citing increases in raw material costs. MAA has increased by 15c. per kg, and DMS by 11c.per kg.
