Manugistics in Release

Manugistics, a provider of supply chain management and pricing optimization solutions, has released Manugistics 7.1, the second major release in the Manugistics 7 series. Manugistics 7.1 is built on J2EE open standards for application development, application-to-application integration, portal connectivity, and business process management. Key capabilities enhanced in the Manugistics 7 series include: real time visibility; adaptive planning and automated resolution; activity management; and self learning and auto tuning.

Pavilion Names New CEO

Pavilion Technologies Inc., a provider of performance optimization software, has named former Datastream chief operating officer Ralph Carter a president and CEO. He replaces Pavilion board member Bill Weyand, who had been acting as interim CEO.

Ross Systems Expands

Ross Systems, a provider of enterprise software solutions for process manufacturers, has signed a master distributor agreement with CDC Software Corp. a subsidiary and software unit of Chinadotcom Corp. Under the agreement, CDC Software has been appointed as the master distributor of the iRenaissance ERP solutions for Greater China, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the territories of ASEAN, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand.

Logility Plans Launch

Logility plans to launch its Logility Voyager Solutions 7.0, a Web-based collaborative supply chain optimization solution, in the summer. The product includes enhancements for supply chain management, demand chain planning, global sourcing management and a new transportation planning optimizer.

ChemConnect Inc, an e-marketplace for chemicals and plastics, will hold a Webinar June 10 at 9:00 A.M (EST) to address how to integrate e-commerce sales into sales and marketing strategies.
