UK private chems investment revised downwards for Q1

LONDON (CNI)--Data for private sector investment in the UK chemicals and man-made fibres sector in the first quarter has been revised downwards, according to figures released on Thursday by the government's Office for National Statistics (ONS).

On a seasonally adjusted and current price basis, the year-on-year increase was 19.6% compared with the provisional 21.1%. The quarter-on-quarter increase was 9.6% compared with the provisional 20.4%

On a non-seasonally adjusted and 1995 price basis, figures have also been revised downwards. The year-on-year increase was 18.5%, compared with the provisional 27.2%. The quarter-on-quarter decrease was 28.6%, compared with the provisional 20.6%.
