07 July 2003 00:00 [Source: ICB]Engineers India (EIL) and Energy Industries Engineering & Design (EIED) of Iran have been awarded a $3m contract relating to the 9th Olefin complex in Iran.
AriaSasol Polymers, a 50:50 joint venture between Sasol and the National Petrochemical Co subsidiary Pars Petrochemical (ECN 19 May), awarded the engineering review and site supervision services contract.
Together, EIL and EIED will provide the supervisory services for engineering, and construction coordination, including field inspection, quality control, testing and pre-commissioning for the complex in Bandar Assaluyeh, Iran. The contract will run for 36 months.
Technip-Coflexip and local engineering company Nargan received the E200m engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build the cracker and the ldPE unit.
German contractor Uhde and Iranian partner Sazeh won the E100m EPC lumpsum turnkey contract for the mdPE unit.
