Degussa ups output

A surge in demand is prompting Degussa to expand production of its Acematt TS 100 matting agent. The project will be carried out by its Advanced Fillers and Pigments business unit in Rheinfelden, Germany.The company declined to reveal exact figures but said capacity will rise by 50%. The expansion is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2004.
Acematt TS 100 is a thermally processed silica characterised by outstanding matting efficiency and transparency. It is used primarily in water-soluble coating systems.
