LONDON (CNI)--The European Commission (EC) has launched a dedicated chemicals website to provide information on the status of research into endocrine disruptors.
In a statement received Wednesday, the EC said that the purpose of the website was to help stakeholders to follow the latest developments in endocrine disruptor research in the European Union (EU).
The EC added that its work on endocrine disruptors was closely linked to the new European strategy on environment and health (Scale - science, children, awareness, legislation and evaluation), which has a broader perspective than the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals (Reach) proposals.
The new website on endocrine disruptor research in the EU can be found at: http://europa.eu.int/comm/research/endocrine/index_en.html
