LONDON (CNI)--Swiss agrochemicals group Syngenta said Wednesday that its newly launched corn herbicide Lumax has been a success in the US market and will be sold in other key corn producing countries during 2004-06.
The company said Lumax was used on more than 2.5m acres of the most high yielding parts of the corn belt during this year's growing season. It is designed to provide early weed control in a single application.
Lumax was registered for use in the US late in 2002. It is a combination of Callisto plus two other Syngenta active ingredients.
