Inventa-Fischer wins China polyester plant contract

LONDON (CNI)--Inventa-Fischer announced Friday it won a contract from Chinese firm Jiangsu Senjo Chemical Fibre to build a polyester plant in Taicang City, China.

 

The Swiss engineering company, which is part of the Ems group, said the Taicang project was costed at SF70m ($53m/Euro45m) but did not disclose the value of its contract.

 

The polyester chips and melts plant will have a capacity of 480 000 tonne/year and is due to come onstream early 2005.

 

Inventa-Fischer said that its contract covers design and engineering work as well as the supply of technology and process equipment.
