Crompton Corp. is increasing the global price of all its Mark liquid and liquid/ESO blend mixed metal stabilizers by 5c. per pound, and Mark paste mixed metal stabilizers by 4c. per pound effective February 15, or as contracts permit. The company is also, as of March 15, implementing a 10 percent price increase on all its tin intermediates. Products in this category include TBT, TOT, DBTO, MOTO, DBTCI, DOTCI, MOTCI and MBTCI.
Dow Chemical Company is implementing a new pricing schedule for its bulk and packaged Dowper solvent. Effective March 1, the North American distributor price for Dowper solvent in prefilled, small-volume refillable (SVR) containers will be 54c. per pound in full truckload quantities. Concurrently, any off-list prices for Dowper are cancelled. The company says that this is in conjunction with the elimination of the 3c. per-pound filling rebate previously offered to bulk distributors for filling their own SVR containers. Dowper is perchloroethylene, a dry-cleaning solvent.
DuPont Fluoroproducts is, as of March 1, increasing the global prices for all grades of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) fluoropolymer resin by $2 per pound. DuPont markets FEP under the Teflon trademark.
Great Lakes Chemical Corp. is, as of March 1, increasing the global price of its phosphate esters by 7 percent. The increase affects the company's Reofos and Kronitex phosphate ester flame retardants, as well as its Durad and Reolube fire-resistant fluids and lubricant additives.
Mayzo Inc. has, as of February 5, increased prices for its specialty antioxidants by 8 percent and prices for specific ultraviolet absorbers by 4 percent.
Perstorp Polyols Inc.'s coating intermediates unit is increasing the price of sodium formate by 8c. per pound effective March 1, or as existing agreements allow.
