SINGAPORE (CNI)--Degussa has purchased the hydrogen peroxide assets of PT Risjad Brasali Peroxide from Indonesian group Risjad Brasali Industries for an undisclosed amount, the company said on Monday.

The new company, to be named PT Degussa Peroxide Indonesia, will base its operations at the site of its newly acquired plant at Cikareng Industrial Estate, just outside the Indonesian capital Jakarta.  The new company will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Degussa AG, based in Duesseldorf, Germany.

The plant currently has the capacity to produce 10 000 tonne/year of hydrogen peroxide, and Degussa has plans to raise its capacity to 24 000 tonne/year immediately.
