LONDON (CNI)--Atofina subsidiary CECA announced on Tuesday its intention to raise the sale prices of its fatty amines and specialty surfactants, effective 15 April.
The French specialty chemical maker said the increases would be at 5 to 7% of current prices and were intended “to ensure a sustainable and viable long term business”.
It was not clear whether the increases were likely to be accepted, in part or in full, by Atofina's customers.
CECA’s fatty amines and specialty surfactants have a wide variety of uses including detergent manufacture, surface treatment, antistatic applications, organophilic clays, emulsions, dispersions and chemical intermediates.
