LONDON (CNI)--German chemicals group BASF said Friday it is seeking to raise the European price of styrene-butadiene copolymer Styrolux by Euro200/tonne effective 1 August.
This measure was necessary due to the extremely strong and continuous price increase of feedstocks - especially benzene - since the beginning of 2004, the firm said.
The percentage of this proposed price hike for Styrolux was not immediately known.
