Prices will rise by 10 cent/lb on trichloroisocyanuric acid (CDB (r) 90) and sodium dichloroisocyanurate, dihydrate (CDB 56) while 12 cent/lb will be added to sodium dichloroisocyanurate, anhydrous (CDB 63).
The proposed rise will come into effect 1 September, subject to existing contracts, said ICL.
Increases in raw materials, energy and transportation costs, following price erosion of selling prices in recent years, had made a price adjustment necessary, the firm explained.
ICL did not quantify in percentage terms the proposed price hikes and it was not immediately clear whether they are likely to be accepted in full by customers.
Chlorinated isocyanurates are used as biocides in water treatment applications ranging from pool and spa use through industrial water to cleaning and sanitising.
