AROMATICS Malaysia will debottleneck its paraxylene (PX) and benzene plants in Kerteh, Malaysia, during a routine turnaround in April 2005, a company official told ACN.
The expanded plants will come onstream in May 2005.
ACN was earlier told that the debottlenecking would be completed at the end of 2004 (ACN 4 August 2003).
The official said the company had not decided how much capacity to add, as that would depend on feedstock availability.
The company currently produces 420 000 tonne/year of PX and 145 000 tonne/year of benzene.
