SINGAPORE (CNI)--China’s Yangzi Petrochemical Co (YPC) will conduct some minor maintenance on its 650 000 tonne/year cracker in Jiangsu next year, foregoing a full turnaround plan, CNI was told on Wednesday.
A company official said YPC was seeking to maximise its operations by conducting minor maintenance work without shutting the cracker. The date for the maintenance has not yet been set.
The official said it was possible there would be a minor loss of ethylene output due to the maintenance plan, although he could not give full details. The cracker did not have a turnaround this year.
YPC is a listed Sinopec affiliate.
