LONDON (CNI)--Swedish chemicals group Perstorp said Tuesday it is seeking to increase the prices for polyols and oxo products from 1 October.

The proposed hikes, which Perstorp said are necessary due to higher raw material prices, are as follows:

Europe

Overseas markets

Trimethylolpropane (TMP), Neopentyl Glycol (Neo)

Euro180/tonne

$220/tonne

Pentaerythritol (Penta)

NX 795 ester alcohol

Euro80/tonne

$100/tonne

2-Ethylhexanoic Acid (2-EHA)

$200/tonne

For polyols, a Perstorp spokesman told CNI the proposed increase is 8-15% over current prices. The scale of the planned oxo products rise was not immediately available.
