LONDON (CNI)--Ticona, the technical polymers business of German chemicals group Celanese, will be seeking a 15% increase from 15 November in the European price of its GUR ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), it announced Monday.
Current price levels were not revealed.
The general increase in costs such as energy and logistics was blamed by Ticona for the proposed price hike.
