LONDON (CNI)--Danish headquartered polyolefins producer Borealis has resumed full production from its Burghausen, Germany polypropylene (PP) plant but a force majeure restriction remains in effect, CNI learned on Thursday.

The approximately 200 000 tonne/year plant was restarted early on Tuesday morning (21 December), according to a company spokeswoman.

She told CNI that the plant had been affected by a series of technical problems which had disrupted production between 8 and 21of December.

Production was now back to normal, she confirmed, and force majeure would be lifted as soon as possible. However, she was unable to be more specific as the plant produces a wide range of copolymers and the effects of the outage will vary between customers.
