HOUSTON (CNI)--German chemical major BASF Friday said it plans to increase prices for an array of products it sells in ?xml:namespace>
It was not clear if customers will accept the planned price hikes.
BASF said it intends to raise prices on all carboxylated styrene butadiene latex products supplied to the adhesives, architectural coatings, carpet, construction and nonwovens industries by $110/tonne. The increase pertains to products sold under the Butofan, Styrofan and Styronal brands, the company said in a statement.
BASF also said it plans to raise prices by $110/tonne on all Styronal carboxylated styrene butadiene, Basonal multimonomer and Acronal styrene acrylic paper coating binder dispersions.
