LONDON (CNI)--The primary line on the Scholven-Marl ethylene pipeline in Germany is expected to be brought back online at the end of this week or by 14 March at the latest, CNI learned on Tuesday.
A leak was detected at the end of last week. Investigations took place over the weekend to determine the cause and the extent of the downtime.
In the meantime, a secondary pipeline has taken over the supply of ethylene to the consuming units in Marl, but deliveries are currently reduced by a third, according to market sources.
