Sabic's starts one-month benzene shutdown at Geleen

LONDON (CNI)--Sabic EuroPetrochemicals' scheduled one-month benzene shutdown has begun at its Geleen, Netherlands plant, CNI learned Thursday.
 
A company spokesman confirmed that the outage began as planned at midnight on Monday (7 March).
 
The 300,000 tonne/year benzene plant at Sabic's Geleen cracker no. 3 will be down for six weeks, and should restart in mid-April.
