The ethylene-based cracker will be shut for 45 days for debottlenecking work which will increase production by 25,000 tonne/year to 460,000 tonne/year.
Besides the ethylene cracker, NPC also operates a 170,000 tonne/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit. The PDH unit was shut down 15 August last year for a 40-day maintenance, according to global price reporting and market intelligence service ICIS-LOR, part of the same publishing group as CNI.
