George Biltz

has been appointed global vice president of purchasing at Dow Chemical Company. He retains his current leadership responsibilities as Dow’s global business vice president for ventures and new business growth. Biltz has served Dow for 25 years.

Marcello Boldrini

has been promoted to vice president of Ashland Specialty Chemical and general manager of specialty polymers additives (SP&A) at Ashland Inc., effective May 1. He will be responsible for driving the growth strategy for the company’s SP&A business group. Boldrini joined Ashland in 1997.

Aurélien Guichard

has been promoted to perfumer at Givaudan Fragrances. Guichard has created fragrances for many of the company’s valued clients, including, Avon Products, Coty and LVMH. He received his economics and international studies degree from the University of Bristol in England where he also studied chemistry for one year.

Ingo Klement

has been appointed business development manager at De-gussa Corp.’s exclusive synthesis business unit in Parsippany, N.J. He will be responsible for key accounts in the pharmaceutical market and for developing business with new pharma customers. Klement joined the company in 1997 as head of an R&D laboratory in Wolfgang, Germany.

Elizabeth Potts

has been named vice president of purchasing for Ashland Inc., effective May 1. She will be re-sponsible for purchasing across Ashland’s chemical and transportation construction sectors, with a focus on process optimization as part of the company’s efforts toward achieving top-quartile performance. Potts joined Ashland in 1996.

Dan Rogers

has been promoted to business director for carpet chemicals at Omnova Solutions. Rogers has held a series of positions with increasing responsibilities over his 13-year tenure with the company, most recently as director of sales and marketing.

James R. Voss

has been named senior vice president of business operations at Solutia Inc. He will have enterprise-wide responsibility for human resources, procurement, information technology, governmental affairs, communications and public affairs. Voss joins the company from Premcor Inc., where he was senior vice president and chief administrative officer.

Robert Wilson

has been appointed director of marketing at Darex, a business of W. R. Grace and Co. He has worked closely with the Darex business since joining Grace in 2002. Most recently, Wilson served as manager of new business development, supporting Darex’s growth initiatives around the globe.

Jonathon P. Wright

has been named senior vice president and president of integrated nylon at Solutia Inc. He will have responsibility for all commercial, operational and strategic aspects of the business. Wright joins the company from Charles River Associates, where he served as vice president.
