LONDON (ICIS news)--Polimeri Europa has declared force majeure on supplies of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) from its 45,000 tonne/year Mantova, Italy, unit due to a power outage, a company official said on Wednesday.
The plant was shut on Saturday (15 October) following a power cut at the site. The outage only concerns the Italian styrenics producer's ABS train. Production of all other polymers is unaffected, the official added.
While the company was confident that the problem could be resolved shortly, Polimeri Europa could give no exact indication as to when production would be resumed.
