TORONTO (ICIS news)--Kellog Brown & Root (KBR) said on Friday that Indonesian petrochemicals maker Chandra Asri has chosen its SCORE technology for a planned ethylene furnace expansion in West Java.?xml:namespace>
The expansion will allow Chandra Asri to boost ethylene production 70,000 tonne/year to a total of 590,000 tonne/year at the facility by mid-2007, Houston-based KBR said in a statement.
KBR said its SCORE technology utilises pyrolysis furnaces which have the highest ethylene yield in the industry. It added that this marks the first time that the technology will be used in Indonesia.
KBR is Halliburton's engineering, construction and services subsidiary.
