Correction: In the ICIS news story headlined “Euro Jan OX contracts up Euro30/tonne" please read the headline as "Euro Feb OX contracts up Euro30/tonne" ... making clear the month should be February.
LONDON (ICIS news)--European orthoxylene contract prices for February were settled at Euro730/tonne free delivered Northwest Europe - up Euro30/tonne on January, sources at major consumers BASF and Lonza said on Thursday.
The agreements could not be immediately confirmed by the OX sellers.
Higher OX numbers in the US and firmer xylene prices in Europe supported the Euro30/tonne increase, according to market sources.
