31 January 2006 15:54 [Source: ICIS news]LONDON (ICIS news)--The first February European benzene contract price was agreed on Tuesday at Euro675/tonne, an increase of Euro72/tonne from January, by a major consumer and all of its suppliers.
The contract was settled at $815/tonne, equivalent to Euro675/tonne free on board (FOB) Northwest Europe (NWE), using the exchange rate of 1.2082, the consumer confirmed.
The spot market price for benzene on Tuesday was $830-835/tonne cost, insurance and freight (CIF) Rotterdam. A deal was reported at $830/tonne CIF Rotterdam for February.
