LONDON (ICIS news)--The first orthoxylene (OX) contract for March was settled on Friday at Euro700/tonne, down Euro30/tonne on February, a producer said.

The contract, which was settled on a free delivered (FD) Northwest Europe (NWE) basis, has not yet been confirmed with the buyers, although the number was widely reported in the market.

Market sources did not say why the price had fallen, but lower crude prices compared with crude prices at the time of the February settlement may have been a contributing factor.
