LONDON (ICIS news)--Bayer more than doubled its full year net profits to approximately Euro1.6bn ($1.9bn) last year compared with an adjusted figure of Euro685m in 2004, the German group revealed on Wednesday.

It reported the full year net income figure after a German magazine, Capital, disclosed information from working documents belonging to corporate management.
Bayer will publish its 2005 results in full on Monday (6 March).
The group did not disclose its Q4-2005 net income. The adjusted net income was Euro68m for the fourth quarter of 2004, he added.
