HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical is preparing a maintenance turnaround at its Freeport, Texas toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant, according to sources in Europe, but Dow would not confirm turnaround details on Friday.The plant produces 100,000 tonne/year of TDI.
Dow said on Monday it would permanently cease TDI production at its 59,000 tonne/year TDI Train 1 line in ?xml:namespace>
Weak TDI demand and abundant supplies had caused Dow to idle Train 1 in December, 2001.
