LONDON (ICIS news)--Becco Espana is set to bring the first of its eight planned biodiesel plants in Spain on stream in early July, a company spokeswoman said on Thursday.
The plant is located in the industrial strip of Villaverde in Madrid and will produce 35,000 tonne/year of biodiesel until it reaches full capacity of 128,000 tonne/year in early 2007, the spokeswoman added.
Locations for the additional seven plants were still being evaluated. Becco has said they are likely to be built in or near Spanish port cities.
