SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s Kumho P&B Chemicals has resumed partial commercial production at its Yeochun phenol-acetone units this week after shutting for over 14 days for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The 272,000 tonne/year unit, and a line that accounts for about 75% of the total 205,000 tonne/year ouput at the second facility, produced on-spec product on 1 May after starting up late last week, he said.

The 53,000 tonne/year line at the smaller plant remains shut due to unfavourable economics, he added.
