LONDON (ICIS news)--European Union industrial output rose 3.7% in March compared to the year-earlier period, with chemicals and man-made fibres production up 5.3%, official statistics agency Eurostat said on Tuesday.
Industrial production was up 3.8% in the euro zone where chemicals and man-made fibres production was 5.1% higher.
Compared with the previous month, March chemicals and man-made fibres output was up 1.9% in the EU 25 while industrial production was up 0.3%.
Chemicals and man-made fibres output grew by 2.4% in the euro zone month-on-month while industrial production rose by 0.4%.
