NewsFlashEuro June toluene settles at $928/mt

LONDON (ICIS news)--The June European toluene contract settlement has been agreed at $928/tonne, up $68-102/tonne from May contract prices, a major supplier said on Monday.

The buyer could not be reached for confirmation.

This agreement, on a free delivered Northwest Europe basis, followed an initial June settlement of $928/tonne FD NWE reported at the end of May.

May toluene contracts were settled at $826-860/tonne but since then spot toluene prices have risen to new highs.

Spot prices were at $810-835/tonne FOB (free on board) Rotterdam at the time of the initial May settlements and at $875-900/tonne at the time of the final settlements at $860/tonne. Toluene spot prices are now assessed at $940-950/tonne FOB Rotterdam, according to global chemical market intelligence service ICIS pricing.
