LONDON (ICIS news)--Production at Neochim’s 200,000 tonnes/year biodiesel plant in Feluy, Belgium is on schedule to start up in August, a company source said on Wednesday.

Construction work had so far gone to plan, and the factory was expected to be up and running by around 22 August, the source said. Production was expected to be at full rates by the end of September.

Neochim, part of Italian bioenergy company Spiga Nord, said it had invested around €10m (around $12.6m) to build the new facility.

The Feluy plant was built in 1995 to refine crude glycerine, a by-product of biodiesel, into high-quality kosher glycerine.
