PRAGUE (ICIS news)--Poland's largest biodiesel producer Rafinerie Trzebinia is considering a second plant for the production of 200,000 tonnes/year of biodiesel within the next three years, the company said on Tuesday.

The PKN Orlen subsidiary currently produces 100,000 tonnes/year of biodiesel and plans to double this capacity at its initial facility by the end of this year.

The existing facility is located in Trzebinia in the south of Poland, but the second installation would be placed in central or northern Poland, added the firm.

Rafinerie Trzebinia's plan envisaged it sourcing rapeseed oil methyl ester (ROME) and used vegetable oils as feedstock.
