TOKYO (ICIS news)--Japan’s ethylene production in July rose 12.9% compared with June, a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry spokesman said on Wednesday.

The ethylene production in July was 678,200 tonnes, while it was 600,900 tonnes in June. This was a 10.6% increase from July 2005, he said.

No plants were shut in July due to turnarounds, the spokesman added, against three such shutdowns in June and two in July 2005.
