LONDON (ICIS news)--Ciba Speciality Chemicals said on Thursday it was seeking global price hikes for its water soluble polymers of 5-15% depending on region and product range.

The proposed increases would be effective on 1 September, added Ciba.

“The sustained escalation in raw material, freight and energy costs has driven us to adjust our prices for water soluble polymers accordingly,” said Mark Garrett, head of Ciba‘s water and paper treatment division.

It was not immediately clear if buyers would accept, or accept in full, the proposed price hikes.
