LONDON (ICIS news)--Technip said on Monday it had won the programme management services (PMS) contract for Saudi Aramco’s new 400,000 barrels a day full-conversion refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Under the contract, Technip will prepare bid packages and provide management services during the project’s engineering, procurement and construction phases and carry out the front-end engineering design.
Due for start-up in 2011, The Jubail Export Refinery is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Total and is expected to provide some feedstock for future petrochemicals production in the region.
In July, Saudi Aramco selected Dow as a partner in a proposed multi-billion dollar petrochemical complex in nearby Ras Tanura, which is due for start-up in 2011.
