SINGAPORE (ICIS News)--Thai Petrochemical Industry (TPI) is planning a turnaround at its benzene, toluene and mixed xylenes (BTX) plant at Map Ta Phut, Rayong province in November, a company source said on Thursday.
The scheduled turnaround would be implemented from 20-30 November this year, the source said.
TPI offers a 2,000 tonne cargo of toluene for export every 2-3 months, while 5,000 tonnes of isomer grade xylene is exported every month and another 5,000 tonnes is sold into the Thai domestic market. The major share from the solvent grade xylene production is channelled into the domestic market, the source added.
TPI’s current production capacity for toluene and mixed xylenes stands at 120,000 tonnes/year of toluene, 120,000 tonnes/year of isomer grade xylene and 20,000 tonnes/year of solvent grade xylene.
